It's based on ancient an Ayurvedic ritual dating back to more than 3,000 years; it is simply a form of oral detoxification. Oil pulling involves placing about 10mL of extra virgin, organic coconut oil into your mouth and then swishing and swirling it around for up to 20 minutes, minimum 5 minutes (pulling it between your teeth), after all of that simply spitting it out in the trash. This action disrupts and dissolves the plaque in your mouth. Simply put, oil pulling is believed to draw out and expel toxins in our body via the mouth.
Initially, most folks realize that their teeth are smoother and fresher breath very early on. Research has shown that a reduction in plaque formation can occur in as little as seven days. Other studies have demonstrated that it usually takes as long as three weeks to significantly reduce Streptococcus mutans which causes tooth decay.

What other oils can be used? Sesame was the most used until recently and it has been replaced by coconut because coconut oil has a more pa flavor favored by most. Plus coconut oil has something called lauric acid which is effective at killing Strep. mutans the leading bacteria which causes tooth decay. Oratrue has added organic, virgin peppermint oil added for a smooth refreshing experience.
Bamboo is renewable resource that is biodegradable unlike plastic ones which take many, many years to decompose.

Yes it is when our directions are followed. When it is done right, teeth whitening is a surefire way to remove stains and brighten your smile. Some but not all people experience a little gingiva ie gum irritation and teeth sensitivity for a couple of days.
We have included 3 items that most kits don’t have to make a drastic reduction in tooth sensitivity:
1. We included a pre-wipe which helps moisturize the tooth before whitening. Research has shown that drier teeth are more prone to post-whitening sensitivity.
2. We have a remineralizing gel that helps with sensitivity
3. We also have vitamin E swabs that work great with any soft-tissue irritation.
Our whitening kit is very safe. Our 36% Carbamide Peroxide gel is made in a FDA sanctioned facility right here in the US. The gels are Kosher and placed in top-of-the-line dental grade syringes and we include special tips for the precise control and placement of the gel.
